Ballance is a 3D video game developed by German studio Cyparade, published by Atari and released in 2004.
In Ballance, players need to manipulate a ball of which the physical properties can be transformed to travel through large and complex mazes in space, avoid traps and solve puzzles, and finally reach the balloons to complete the level. The game provides 13 original levels with roughly increasing difficulties for players to explore (level 13 is the downloadable content, but current installation packages generally include level 13), and a score system to attract players to challenge to get better results. In addition, the very real physics engine makes the manipulation of balls feel very close to that in real life, which greatly improves the playability of the game, and enables players to fully experience the effect of gravity, eventually feeling the charm of "balance".
Ballance comes with 5 languages by default, including German, French, English, Spanish, and Italian. However, the fan-made Chinese version also exists in Chinese Ballance Forum, which is available as a patch.

In order to make the level more challenging, more playable, more interesting, Ballance provides a large number of organs props. In the process of making a map, the clever collocation of these organs can greatly affect a level of the game experience and map quality. In particular, The internal program mechanism of Extra Point and Extra Life is the same as that of other organs, so they are generally regarded as organs.

Bugs, glitches and level design issues
主条目: Ballance漏洞 |
Ballance has many bugs like other games. They can be harmful, causing the game to crash and frightening the player due to the sudden appearance; they can also be beneficial to the progress of the game and are recognized for use in racing.
In addition, due to the mistakes of the creators during the production of the original level map, the ball may be stuck in some cases, unable to move or completely unable to continue the game. They are:
- 欲死不能 The player's ball is stuck in a certain area and cannot commit suicide or escape. Without a suicide device, the player has to restart the game.
- 欲生不能 Players can't pass the game if they change the wrong ball attributes, and the map logic design error makes it impossible to change the ball attributes even after suicide and rebirth. They can only restart the game.
Player communities
At present, only Ballance吧 founded by 相关QQ群 and Baryo is active in China(Another previously active forum, 中国Ballance联盟, has been shut down. But a less active forum has been set up Ballance Resources)。There are various forums scattered internationally,Among them, only the Discord服务器 established by BearKidsTeam is more active and can receive more game resources。On the left side of this page, there is a "Related Website" column to access these discussion sites.。
