SlickBall is a 3D video single player ball-rolling game developed by German company Procontis and released in circa 2002[note 1]. There's no direct connection between this game and Ballance.

Introduction

In this game, a heavy and slick marble ball is controlled to pass 10 thrilling and ingenious levels within the specified time. What is different with Ballance is that, when players run out of time, they fail in passing the level. Players can also collect the red diamonds in the level to get a better score.

Every level starts in a big platform blocked by an iron gate, and a switch should be found to open the gate at the first time, then the adventure is started. In particular, level 5 has two similar platforms. The game does not have obvious checkpoints, but when players pass a specific location, the respawn location will be automatically recorded.

Machines like elevator, movable road, suction device, giant fan, portal and box are provided in the game, and some of them can be switched. There are also some traps like hanging iron balls, big turntables, suspension bridges and baffles. The combination of traps and bumpy or potholed roads can be very dangerous, but also bring high playability to the game.

However, the game's color is relatively monotonous, which is composed of almost only dark black and tan. No background music but only the sound effect of the ball rolling and mechanical noises. Levels can't be edited easily by players, making the game unable to develop for a long time. Therefore, this game's players are quite rare in today.

  • In levels, press to control the ball, Space to brake,Z X to change camera direction (90°single time).
