Virtools

Virtools is a 3D Modeling software by 3DVia, which can be used to create or modify Ballance configuration files and maps. Virtools has stopped updating for long, thus the downloading links on the web mostly are Versions before, or Virtools 5. However, since Ballance is made by Virtools 2.1, and the file system update at Virtools 4 made it unable for Ballance to load saved NMO files, the Virtools version used to modify Ballance configuration files or map files shall not be above Virtools 3.5.

Virtools 2.1

Ballance制作所使用的Virtools版本。现阶段因该版本失传，暂无人使用，可谓非常遗憾。

Virtools 3.0

可以用于编辑Ballance文件与地图的Virtools版本。此版本在某些系统上可能无法运行。据一些制图者反馈，此版本的 Virtools 相比 Virtools 3.5 能在 Windows XP 上取得更好的性能。

Virtools 3.5

大多数制图者使用的Virtools版本，用于修改Ballance核心文件或编辑地图。同时也是编辑Ballance相关文件并能被游戏成功读取所能使用的最高Virtools版本。

Virtools 4

据称此版本编辑的NMO无法被Ballance加载，但目前此版本也已接近失传。

Virtools 5

现阶段最高版本的Virtools。有许多有用的新功能，但是其编辑的文件已无法被Ballance读取。目前已证实使用 Virtools 3.5 重新保存 Virtools 5 的文件可使相关文件重新能够被Ballance读取。

此外，Ballance Remix 是使用 Virtools 5 作为引擎编写的。
